Watkin Owen of Llanwrst
A late 18th Century oak 8-day striking longcase clock. 13-inch square brass Roman dial engraved by a seconds ring and date aperture, the trunk with long shaped rectangular door flanked by quarter-cut fluted pilasters, the base with canted corners and applied panels, raised on ogee bracket feet, 221cm high.

Griffiths is recorded as working in Caernarfon 1868-1887.

An imposing mahogany painted arch dial rolling moon 8 day longcase clock by Dan Owens of Caernarfon. Swan neck pediment over a very charmingly painted dial (Elijah feeding the ravens) with moon phase, turned pillars enclosing the all mahogany case, panelled base over bracket feet.
The movement fully serviced and running well. The case well polished and clean and no sign of woodworm.

Welsh 8 day longcase clock by Moses Evans of Llangernyw.
The architectural topped hood above a Wilson painted enamelled dial, original fingers, the oak case with long door, cantered corner base and shaped applied panel (chalk dated interior 1790) over repaired ogee bracket feet.
Moses Evans is recorded as working in the Conway valley as a contemporary to Watkin Owen and examples of his work can be seen in "clockmakers of Llanrwst "by Colin & Mary Brown (ISBN 1872424317)
The movement overhauled and running well.

Richard Owen 18th century welsh mahogany brass face 8 day & penny moon phase longcase clock
An elegant good quality 18th century long-case clock, engraved brass face fully working 8 day with penny moon, a particularly pleasing flame mahogany case of good colour quality and patination ( better in the flesh than the photos.) A long door and applied panel base with cantered corners over ogee feet.
Purchased privately in north Wales, the clock dates from the 1780s and exhibits several features associated with the Owen clockmakers of Llanrwst, notably the similarity of the engravers style, features of the mouldings on the case and applied shaped panel base. (The only recorded Richard Owen at this time was that of Watkins son who was born in 1785 but died in 1792 at the age of 7). Dimensions:
